When we were back together, I said to myself that this time, it will be much better. A better relationship that we will not strive the hard way for it to last forever but instead enjoy each other’s presence for it to last forever on its own.

October 6, as what he said, seemed to be just an ordinary day. But for me, October 6 is an opportunity for me to show him my sincerest thanks and love for everything he did to my life. Franz knew that we will just have a simple dinner date on his birthday. But all I know, it’s gonna a big day for him. 🙂

Before I travel to Davao, and work on for his simple birthday surprise. My biggest problem was my source of money to spend knowing that I recently resigned from my previous job. I used whatever I have. I helped out some friends and my cousin on their final paper for a little pay. Actually, it was their decision to just pay for someone to help them out. I discussed them the project details. We brainstormed and prepared for their defense. At least, I had the money from hard work. 🙂

As I arrived in Davao, I was busy transacting our business registrations while the other side of my mind thinking what do to for his birthday because I can’t roll out my final plan. All I know was I need to buy him a new pair of shoes. October 4, when we met up with his sister Fritzy, I talked to her about my plan. Actually, on a regular shopping, I don’t usually come with Franz when his looking for shoes, but not this time. I invite him for us to go to different malls and I secretly observe his shoes’ choices.

Finally, unexpectedly last October 5, we went to Abreeza, still with my purpose to look for my gift to him. We went to the Department Store, while walking, I was asking him and taking to ask the hard way already which pair of shoes he would buy. He planned to buy his new shoes on his next salary schedule. When we are about to take dinner, I let him to take our orders and I asked permission that I’ll be going to the rest room. There I decided to grab that opportunity to buy that shoes in the Dept Store. Hurriedly, I paid for it and look for a gift bag. Unfortunately, there’s no bag size that would best fit the shoe box. He was already worried about me, calling and texting, but I have no answer. I ran to National bookstore, and finally decided to have it wrapped. I decided to reply and popped with a reason that I had a blood leak because I’m having period that time and I needed to buy new shorts. He was still worried. Until the gift wrap was finished. I walked as fast as I can, kept the big gift at my back and gave it to him with a kiss. 🙂 I can’t forget how happy and smiling he was that time which made me happier. 🙂

The next day, it was his birthday. 🙂 He thought only of our original plan, after attending a mass at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, we will go to the mall and have dinner date. But all I plan was totally different. I texted Franz’s sister for us to meet in St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Maa. We were supposed to be attending mass in Sta. Ana Church but it was part of my plan so as we can travel less to Davao Crocodile Park. After breakfast, we went to the Church and by his surprised his sister tapped his back. After praying and lighted candles because the mass was already finished, we went around and checked the parish’s celebration of the feast of St. Francis of Assisi.

Then, we went out, I looked a taxi. He was asking me, where are we going. In a small voice, I told the driver to take us to Davao Crocodile Park. At his surprise when the driver asked again, “Davao Crocodile Ma’am?” He smiled like a little kid. I decided to take him to the Park because just as I arrived in Davao, he just mention unconsciously about it. So, we toured around, went to Butterfly House, and Tribu K’ Mindawan.

After the park strolling we went to Keepsakes at Matina Towns Square then we had Halo-halo at Aling Fopings. 🙂 I’m happy that I made my Baby Love happier. 🙂
